We'll show you around the city's hotspots, like the Dunedin Railway Station, the University of Otago, and the Octagon. You'll get a taste of local history, culture, and nature. Then, we'll take a trip to the stunning Otago Peninsula and visit the grand Larnach Castle.
What To Expect
Port Chalmers
Once we've said our hellos and picked you up at Port Chalmers, we'll take a scenic 16km / 10-mile drive to Dunedin City. You'll start to get a feel for the "Edinburgh of the South".
Baldwin Street
Get ready to see, walk, run, or just stand on the world's steepest residential street.
The Octagon
Welcome to the heart of Dunedin City, filled with shops, cafes, and some of New Zealand's historic buildings. We'll stop here briefly so you can soak up the city vibes and pick up any fellow travelers.
Dunedin Railway Station
No Dunedin visit is complete without checking out this historical gem.
Otago Peninsula
We'll drive over the high road of the Otago Peninsula on our way to Larnach Castle. If we get the chance, we'll stop for some breathtaking views.
Larnach Castle & Gardens
Enjoy a self-guided tour of Larnach Castle and Gardens. This is the highlight of our tour, and we usually spend about 90 minutes here. If we have extra time, we might be able to stay a bit longer.
Port Chalmers
Finally, we'll drive back from Larnach Castle to Port Chalmers and your cruise ship. The drive should take about 45 minutes.
