Traditional Greek Cooking Class Shore Excursion
What to Expect:
Our cooking class begins with a warm welcome accompanied by a morning coffee or tea. We kick off the session by igniting the fire in the wood-burning oven and commencing the dough kneading process. Following this, we take a leisurely stroll around Lefkada Micro Farm to gather fresh vegetables and herbs for our lunch, gaining insight into the organic growth of our food. Participants have the opportunity to acquaint themselves with our trees, vegetables, herbs, and animals.
Upon returning to the kitchen, the oven is preheated and ready for baking our loaves. We proceed to prepare the vegetables for the Briam (roasted mixed vegetables) and place them in the oven. As the main dish cooks, we craft a Greek salad and Tzatziki using the finest vegetables, goat cheese, and traditional sheep yogurt sourced from local dairies. To conclude, we gather in our open-air kitchen to savor the fruits of our labor together.
